Fire and Internet.

From an early age I have been fascinated by fire and its many purposes. No, I am not a pyromanic. I am not a arsonist and I do not lust over flame or its effects. Rather, I respect and appreciate the connection between fire and the lifestyle I choose.  During my childhood, I would wander off into the woods in pursuit of deer, squirrel, and any other type of excitement that may wander into my path. Before I would start my adventure, I would make a half-ass camp and always start a fire. It was like clock work…Arrive at camp…start fire…go hunting…add more wood to the fire. I would never venture off into the unknown without having first established a fire. Still to this day, the first thing I do when I leave my grown-up world is start a fire.

Perfect fire after a cold day of trout fishing. I have no idea what the hell that light is in the background. Must be a dude without a fire…

There is something about fire that brings comfort and security to all humans. I think it is an inherited trait from our Ice Aged ancestors. Passed down over thousands of years, is the undeniable fact that fire is a key component to survival….that and the internet…except Comcast..I want to stop breathing when I use Comcast internet.  Even to this day fire has an effect on each of us which cannot be explained. Can you imagine camping with friends and not being able to have fire. It would suck…. Its not camping…. Its sitting in the woods like idiots with nothing to do but stare at each other….weird. I would freak out if I happened to wander upon a guy sitting in the woods, in the pitch black. However, if he had a fire I would be completely understanding and I would probably have a drink with him. Because with fire there is always booze….also an inherited trait.
